I recently had the opportunity to take a group to a really sweet place in the Cleveland area! Have you been to b.a. Sweetie’s Candy?? I truly would not have been surprised to see the Easter bunny hopping around the corner, this store has it all. If you harken back to your youth to that favorite candy that was your special treat; you know the one that you think you can no longer get, guess again!
We have always been fans of the Sunkist jellies, they’re individually wrapped and soft with a sugar coating, and extremely hard to find but there they were in all their gooey glory. Someone in my group was looking for the Mallo cups with the butterscotch coating, there they were! As a matter of fact b.a. Sweeties Candy Company has been instrumental in bringing back several nostalgic brands that had ceased production, like Turkish Taffy, SloPoke, BB Batts, and Broadway licorice rolls .
Oh, and for you PEZ collectors… this store has a ton! The store is as much fun to browse as it is to shop. We were thrilled to make our purchases and more than top the Easter baskets that we were looking to fill. We actually went home passing around treats including fruit flavored popcorn, specialty jelly bean flavors (my favorite butter popcorn) and drinking unusual flavored sodas like almond cream soda (they have about 200 o choose from!) If you have not been to this shop you are truly missing out. I can’t wait to go back as the weather improves and visit their award-winning miniature golf course as well as the soda shop. This is a destination within itself.
